F4V to 3G2 Converter
Processing entirely on your device — large files may take a moment.
Flash MP4 Video and 3GPP2 Mobile Video exist for different jobs: F4V is Adobe Flash Player's later H.264-based video container — same essence as MP4, delivered through the Flash era. Converting 3G2 to MP4 rescues old phone videos for modern screens.
Because the whole conversion happens on your device, it is instant, unlimited and genuinely private — no accounts, no watermarks, no files on anyone's server. Multiple files are converted in one go.
How F4V compares to 3G2
| F4V | 3G2 | |
|---|---|---|
| Compression | H.264 + AAC | H.263 / baseline H.264 |
| Quality | Preserved as-is | Low resolution |
| Compatibility | Legacy Flash tooling | Legacy CDMA phones |
| Best for | Flash-era H.264 archives | Old mobile clips |

About the F4V format
F4V is Adobe's later Flash Video container, introduced when Flash Player gained H.264 support around 2007. Internally it is an ISO-base-media file — the same family as MP4 — so an F4V is essentially an MP4 with a different extension and Flash-era metadata.
Conversion to MP4 is a container change, not a re-encode: the H.264 video and AAC audio pass through intact. That makes F4V→MP4 one of the cleanest conversions in the whole format zoo — quality is byte-identical.
+ Strengths
- ✓Modern H.264/AAC inside
- ✓Converts to MP4 without quality loss
! Limitations
- −Dead ecosystem (Flash ended in 2020)
- −Some players dislike the extension
About the 3G2 format
3G2 is the 3GPP2 variant of the mobile video format family, born on CDMA networks (Verizon, KDDI) where 3GP ruled GSM sides. Structurally it is a cousin of MP4 carrying H.263 or H.264 baseline video with QCELP/EVRC or AMR audio.
It shares 3GP's fate: low-resolution clips trapped on old phones. Conversion to MP4 is lossless in spirit — the pixels simply move into a container every modern device accepts.
+ Strengths
- ✓Tiny files for its era
- ✓Structurally close to MP4 — clean conversions
! Limitations
- −Low resolution and quality ceiling
- −Obsolete outside old CDMA phones
Why convert F4V to 3G2?
Converting makes sense where the strengths of 3G2 meet what F4V cannot give you. Tiny files for its era Meanwhile Dead ecosystem (Flash ended in 2020) One pass through the converter above puts your file on the right side of that trade-off.
Frequently asked questions
Is this F4V to 3G2 converter really free?
Yes — completely free, with no sign-up, no watermark and no daily conversion limits. The site is supported by advertising.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. The conversion runs entirely inside your browser using WebAssembly, so your files never leave your device — that is what makes it instant and private.
Does it work on Windows, Mac, iPhone and Android?
Yes. Anything with a modern browser works: Windows, macOS, Linux, Android and iOS. No software installation is required.
Is there a file size limit for F4V to 3G2?
The only limit is your device's memory, since nothing is uploaded. Files up to a few hundred megabytes work fine on a modern desktop browser; very large files simply take a little longer.
Will the audio track be kept?
Yes. The audio is carried over and re-encoded to the standard audio codec of 3G2, staying in sync with the video. If your F4V file has multiple audio tracks, the first one is used.
Why is video conversion slower than image conversion?
Every frame has to be decoded and re-encoded. This site runs that work on your own CPU via WebAssembly — nothing is uploaded, but a multi-minute video reasonably takes a few minutes. Images, by comparison, are single-frame jobs.
