Presentation Converters

Pull text out of PPTX and ODP slide decks into TXT, HTML or Markdown — processed in your browser, nothing uploaded.

A slide deck is two things at once: a performance and a document. The performance — animations, transitions, backgrounds — only exists inside presentation software. The document — what the deck actually says — travels much further: into meeting notes, lecture archives, search engines and AI tools. These converters extract that second thing: every word, in slide order, without PowerPoint.

Be clear about what you get: text extraction keeps every word and the slide order, but not the visuals — no backgrounds, no images, no layout. For lecture notes, content audits and reuse in other documents that is exactly the point. If you need the slides to look right, you need the original file and the software that made it.

Both PPTX and ODP are zip packages of XML, so the text can be read right in your browser: the deck is unpacked locally, the slides are parsed in order, and the output is built on your machine. A hundred-megabyte deck never uploads, and nothing is sent to any server.

PPTX PowerPoint Presentation

PPTX is the modern PowerPoint format — a zip package of XML slides with text, shapes and media, editable in PowerPoint, Keynote, WPS and Google Slides.

ODP OpenDocument Presentation

ODP is the OpenDocument presentation format — LibreOffice Impress’s native deck, also opened by PowerPoint and Google Slides.

PDF PDF Document

PDF (Portable Document Format) preserves layout exactly the same on every device, which makes it the standard for sharing documents, invoices, manuals and e-books.

DOCX Word Document

DOCX is the modern Microsoft Word document format (Office Open XML). It stores text, styles and images in an editable structure that Word, Google Docs, WPS and Pages all open natively.

XLSX Excel Spreadsheet

XLSX is the modern Microsoft Excel workbook format. It stores multiple sheets with values, styles and charts, and opens in Excel, WPS Office, Numbers and Google Sheets.

HTML HTML Document

HTML is the language of web pages. An HTML file is a self-contained text document describing structure and formatting that any browser can open directly.

EPUB EPUB Ebook

EPUB is the universal e-book format: a ZIP package of HTML chapters that reflows to any screen size, used by Apple Books, Kobo and Google Play Books.

MD Markdown Document

Markdown is the lightweight markup language used by GitHub, Notion and countless blogs: a few symbols turn plain text into headings, lists, links and code blocks.

RTF Rich Text Format

RTF (Rich Text Format) is Microsoft's 1987 legacy rich-text format: plain ASCII with backslash escapes, understood by literally every word processor ever shipped — WordPad, Word, Pages, LibreOffice, even mainframe-era editors.

ODT OpenDocument Text

ODT is the OpenDocument word-processing format — the LibreOffice Writer native file, defined by an open ISO standard instead of a vendor. It carries full document semantics: styles, headers, footnotes, tables, images.

FB2 FictionBook 2

FB2 (FictionBook 2) is the e-book format of the Russian-speaking world and many indie e-reader apps: a single XML file with strict semantic markup — sections, titles, epigraphs, poems. Readers like FBReader and older PocketBooks prefer it.
