Xvid to OGA Converter
Processing entirely on your device — large files may take a moment.
Xvid is the open-source DivX competitor — the other MPEG-4 ASP encoder behind a decade of movie downloads. Converting OGA to MP3 sidesteps the device-support gaps of the Ogg family.
iLoveConverter processes everything locally on your computer, which makes it private and fast: no upload wait, no server storage, no limits. Add as many files as you like — batch conversion is built in.

About the Xvid format
Xvid is the open-source implementation of the same MPEG-4 ASP profile DivX commercialized — after the original was open-sourced following a legal scuffle, Xvid became the encoder of choice for a decade of scene releases and personal rips.
Identical migration path as DivX: decode through ffmpeg, re-encode to H.264. The video quality at its usual bitrates survives the trip better than DivX's worst files, thanks to Xvid's tunable quantization.
+ Strengths
- ✓Open-source and configurable
- ✓Enormous existing content corpus
- ✓Decodes via ffmpeg everywhere
! Limitations
- −Same ASP-era limitations as DivX
- −Packed bitstream quirks in some files
- −Development ended years ago
About the OGA format
OGA is the Ogg container's audio-only extension: the same Vorbis (or Opus/FLAC) stream as an OGG file, renamed to signal "this is music, not video". Wikipedia's audio files and old game rips commonly use it.
Functionally it is an OGG — and it inherits the same hardware-support lottery. Converting OGA to MP3 ends the guessing game on phones, car stereos and anything without an Ogg decoder.
+ Strengths
- ✓Open, royalty-free Vorbis audio
- ✓Identical quality to OGG
! Limitations
- −Extension confuses players less familiar with Ogg
- −Same hardware gaps as OGG
Why convert Xvid to OGA?
Think of it as moving your file to the container that fits the job. Same ASP-era limitations as DivX OGA works differently: Open, royalty-free Vorbis audio If any of that sounds like your task, run the conversion — it takes seconds and nothing leaves your device.
Frequently asked questions
Is this Xvid to OGA converter really free?
Yes — completely free, with no sign-up, no watermark and no daily conversion limits. The site is supported by advertising.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. The conversion runs entirely inside your browser using WebAssembly, so your files never leave your device — that is what makes it instant and private.
Does it work on Windows, Mac, iPhone and Android?
Yes. Anything with a modern browser works: Windows, macOS, Linux, Android and iOS. No software installation is required.
Is there a file size limit for Xvid to OGA?
The only limit is your device's memory, since nothing is uploaded. Files up to a few hundred megabytes work fine on a modern desktop browser; very large files simply take a little longer.
Will the audio track be kept?
Yes. The audio is carried over and re-encoded to the standard audio codec of OGA, staying in sync with the video. If your Xvid file has multiple audio tracks, the first one is used.
Does converting Xvid to OGA re-encode my video?
Yes. The video is decoded and re-encoded with the settings chosen by the quality slider, which is what allows the format and size to change. For an archival copy, keep higher quality; for sharing, lower quality gives a much smaller file.
